What are these so-called classes when registering a trademark?

TF Con · July 07, 2026

Classes are the groups of products and services used by INPI (the Nice Classification). You don't register your trademark for everything. You register it for your area. A bakery protects its trademark in the food class. A course protects it in the education class. Choosing the right class is an important step, and a mistake here can weaken or bring down your protection. TF Con helps you understand your field before deciding, so you don't spend money on a class that doesn't protect you.
