There's already a company with a similar name. Can I still register my trademark?

TF Con · July 07, 2026

It depends. Before any application, you need to run a search in INPI's database. It shows whether there's already an identical or similar trademark in your field. If there is, your application may be denied and you lose the fee you already paid. A similar name in different fields sometimes coexists just fine. TF Con always recommends this search first, so you don't invest time and money in a name that's already taken in your sector.
