If I just stop using the CNPJ and do nothing, will the debts disappear on their own?

TF Con · July 07, 2026

They won't. This is the most common mistake we see. An idle CNPJ that isn't closed keeps generating obligations, and the debt only grows with interest. One day it can block your CPF, get in the way of financing, and even turn into a lawsuit. Staying silent doesn't solve it, it costs a lot. The right approach is to regularize or properly close it. TF Con organizes the situation, shows you the real size of the problem, and solves it step by step. The sooner you call, the smaller the bill. Letting it sit is the worst deal of all.

I got a notice that my CNPJ is inapto (inactive/blocked). Does that mean the company was closed? I haven't touched the company in a while. Is it better to reactivate it or shut it down for good? I found out my company has several accumulated tax debts. Can I pay them all off in one installment plan? I need to close my MEI. Can I shut it down even if I owe taxes?
