What's the difference between NF-e and NFS-e? I always get confused.

TF Con · July 07, 2026

It's easy to remember. NF-e is for products, things you sell and deliver. NFS-e is for services, when you do a job for someone. The NF-e goes through the state's Sefaz. The NFS-e goes through your city's city hall. At TF Con, we already identify which one applies to you and set everything up. That way you never issue the wrong type. If any doubt comes up, just reach out to your accountant.

I made a sale and my customer asked for an invoice. How does it work with you in practice? I forgot to pay a tax and it's already overdue. Is it the end of the world? Is there something to file every month? How do you notify me? Do I need to issue invoices even if I sell very little per month?
