You need to deregister, meaning you leave the MEI and move into another category, usually the Simples Nacional (simplified tax regime). This isn't a bad thing: it means your business has grown. It just changes how taxes are calculated, which now follow your revenue. An important point: if you only slightly exceeded the cap, the change usually takes effect from the following year; if you went well over it, it can be applied retroactively to the beginning of the year. TF Con handles this entire deregistration process, calculates what changes in your case, and takes over your company's new accounting routine. Since the brackets and rates change, confirm the numbers for your case with your TF Con accountant.
